Description
 
Rotary solenoids are actuators, just like linear solenoids. They perform a rotary motion with a certain torque over a defined angle of rotation. In the monostable design, the resetting is done using a spring. The bistable design is based on the reversal of the supply voltage to change the direction of rotation in a polarized system. Due to the short switching time and the permanent high holding torque, the system needs only little current and therefore works energy-saving.
