Description
The function of the excavator fuel pump is to ensure that the diesel oil circulates in the low-pressure oil circuit, and to supply sufficient quantity and certain pressure of fuel to the fuel injection pump. The fuel delivery volume should be 3-4 times the maximum fuel injection volume at full load. Oil transfer pumps are divided into gear oil transfer pumps, diaphragm oil transfer pumps, plunger oil transfer pumps, pipeline oil transfer pumps and so on.
Overhaul of the oil pump
1. First, check whether the push rod that drives the diaphragm in the pump mechanism is damaged. Gently block the oil inlet of the oil pump with your fingers, and try to start the engine. If you feel suction at this time, it can prove that the push rod is intact.
2. The fingertips do not feel sucked, indiing that the push rod is damaged, and the fuel injection pump should be replaced as a whole.
When the electric fuel injection pump is working, if it emits a strong pumping sound, it means that the pump is in good condition. If there is no such pumping sound, it means that the fuel supply pump is faulty.
