The intake manifold pressure sensor adopts the original design, which can resist the output of other sensors and ignore other noise interference. The vehicle has just the right mix of air and fuel. The electronic control system for starting the engine is equipped with an intake manifold pressure sensor. Engines using pressure sensors are usually fuel injected engines. The sensor provides immediate intake manifold pressure information to the engine's electronic control unit. This data is used to calculate air density and determine the engine's air mass flow rate, which in turn determines the amount of fuel required for full combustion. To detect intake air flow, fuel-injected engines can use either an air mass (MAF) sensor or a pressure sensor, or sometimes even both.

In addition to measuring throttle performance and turbocharger performance, the intake manifold pressure sensor can also be used for fault diagnosis. It can also detect leaks in the intake manifold. Due to its mounting position, this sensor should always read negative pressure unless the turbo is boosting.
